Dimitri Zafirov has built a wealth of finance and economics knowledge and experience in the academic and research environments. Educated in Montreal, Quebec, he holds a bachelor of commerce in finance from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business and a master of science in applied economics from HEC Montreal’s Institute of Applied Economics. Dimitri Zafirov’s educational background also includes a diploma of college studies with an emphasis in computer science technology from Dawson College.
Over his research career, Dimitri Zafirov has served as an analyst of fixed income and economics with Letko-Brosseau & Associates and a research assistant with the MOVE (Markets, Organizations and Votes in Economics) research institute of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He has employed data analysis and finance modeling techniques to study governmental and business economic issues. Mr. Zafirov is pursuing his doctorate in accounting at the Anderson School of Business of the University of California, Los Angeles, where his research interests center on macroeconomic accounting and machine learning.
