Over the course of his career as an award-winning real estate professional in Alameda, California, Don Lindsey gave back to his home city in a variety of ways. His civic contributions include service as a member of the board of directors and as president of Alameda Hospital. There, he successfully negotiated doctor contracts and ensured the continued profitability of the health care facility. Using the profits made available thanks to his effective fiscal management, the hospital built and relocated to a new medical center, a project that Don Lindsey oversaw.
He also combined his civic commitment with his real estate expertise to spearhead the construction of a new police station in the city. A trusted member of his business community, he maintained a seat on the board of directors of Alameda First National Bank and served as president of the city’s Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Lindsey began his career after earning degrees in business and real estate from San Francisco State University and Heald Business College. He subsequently owned and operated Gallagher and Lindsey Realtors for four decades, during which time he oversaw the completion of more than 7,000 transactions.
