Leveraging experience in medical care extending back nearly three decades, Donald A. Hislop serves as associate chief nursing officer at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Tasked with ensuring compliance and a state of readiness among staff members, he adeptly oversees patient-focused care. Reflecting his stellar record of care and service, Donald A. Hislop was awarded entrance to the American Association of Nurse Leaders’ Nurse Executive Fellowship in early 2020.
Mr. Hislop was active with the US Air Force from 1992 to 1998, serving as an aerovacuational medical technician. He was awarded the Armed Forces Medical Services Award for his consistent efforts, and received the USAF Senior Airman of the Quarter in 1993 and the USAF Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter award in 1995.
Mr. Hislop subsequently held a position as an administrative nursing supervisor and critical care resource registered nurse with Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas for 6 years. His professional experience also includes serving as director of patient care services at the Baylor Medical Center of Frisco. In this position, Mr. Hislop achieved excellent patient satisfaction levels and guided a committee that created an orthopedic rehabilitation initiative, as well as the Marshall Steele Joint Camp.
