As the youngest graduating lawyer of the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2000, attorney Douglas Healy was inducted to the Who’s Who Among American Law School Students list every year he was a student and finished in the top 1 percent of the bar examinees in Missouri. He worked at Duncan & Pierce as an of counsel before joining the property and white collar crime division of the Greene County Prosecutor's Office as a senior assistant prosecutor. In this role, attorney Douglas Healy assisted in the drafting and enforcement of zoning regulations for the planning and zoning commission of Greene County. He also gained first chair jury trial experience and represented the state in felony and misdemeanor actions.
In 2005, Douglas Healy took on the role of a legal advisor to the chairman of the Missouri Public Service Commission. As the chief of staff, he assisted the chairman and commissioners on various legal matters including pleadings and rate cases. He also worked with utilities, staff, and other interest groups to develop policy goals for the state and helped move the parties toward agreement on proposed legislation.
For the last 12 years, Mr. Healy has served as a member at Healy Law Offices and legal counsel to the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission, a nonprofit agency with over 550,000 retail meters. In serving MJMEUC, he conducts policy review on transmission, power, and environmental issues as well as represents the agency in state and federal litigation.
