Living and working in Jacksonville Beach, Douglas Kleiner has served as president and CEO of Medical Associates of North Florida since 2009 and president and CEO of North Florida Sports Medicine since 1998. He holds a PhD in health and human performance with a focus in applied exercise physiology from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Douglas Kleiner is also a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Athletic Trainers Association, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Over the course of a clinical and academic career that spans nearly four decades, Douglas Kleiner has garnered a number of professional honors including an Educator of the Year Award from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a “Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer” designation from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. In addition to his achievements as an administrator and clinician, Mr. Kleiner is an accomplished writer and public speaker who has taught hundreds of courses as a professor or instructor.
