A prominent Radiation Oncologist based in Sarasota, Florida, Dr. Alan Porter has emerged as one of the top Radiation Oncologists in the state of Florida and beyond. A Fellow of the American College of Radiology, he earned a place on Woodward and White’s list of “Best Doctors in America” for 15 consecutive years. He serves as the Director of Porter Radiation Oncology, where he offers a full range of Radiation Oncology services to patients in the Sarasota, North Port, Englewood and Venice communities.

Aside from his work as a practicing Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Alan H. Porter is a founding trustee of the Hospice Foundation of Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties. A consultant to Medicare-Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida, he also belongs to the Physicians Advisory Council. He previously served as the President of the Sarasota County Medical and American Cancer Societies. He holds an MD from the University of Florida and completed his residency at the University of Florida and MD Anderson Hospital.
