A graduate of Loma Linda University, Dr. Jamie Lewis holds an MD and active medical licensure in three states. He has practiced in Spokane, Washington since 2007. His work with Northwest Spine and Pain Medicine spans a range of interventional and pharmacological pain management treatment modalities. He takes a holistic approach to pain management, stressing the importance of psychosocial factors and basic physical health integrated in the understanding and treatment of patient pain.

Jamie Lewis, MD, counts radiofrequency ablation (RFAs) among his areas of expertise. Often performed when more conservative treatment efforts have failed, this procedure ameliorates pain in the back and neck by using radiofrequency waves to ablate nerves through thermal lesioning. Radiofrequency ablations work to help eliminate the transmission of pain signals to a patient's brain and improve overall quality of life.

Dr. Lewis also provides epidural steroid injections (ESIs) and selective nerve root blocks (SNRBs). These two hypodermic treatments offer pain relief by delivering chemical agents to the dura membrane of the spinal canal (ESIs) or the spinal nerve root branch of the foramen.
