Born and educated in Argentina, Dr. Luis Lombardi earned his doctor of medicine from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario in the major Argentinian port city of Rosario. He subsequently completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Universidad Nacional de Rosario and served clinical positions with Centenario Provincial Hospital, the General Hospital for Acute Cases, and the Argentine Diagnostic and Treatment Institute. Dr. Luis Lombardi immigrated to the United States in 1990 and passed the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates exam in 1991 and the Federation Licensing Examination in 1992.
His American career history includes tenures as a resident at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and medical director at the Medicis Medical Center in Van Nuys, California. Currently living and working in Los Angeles, California and in Morelia, Mexico.
Dr. Luis Lombardi concentrates the bulk of his practice in the field of non-traumatic spine surgery. Since 2000, he has either performed or assisted in thousands of non-traumatic surgical procedures.
Dr. Luis Lombardi holds a position as Professor of the Mexican Society of Spinal Endoscopy where he teaches Endoscopic Spine Surgery Principles and Advanced Techniques.
