Georgia-based physician Dr. Maureen Muoneke leverages a unique professional background that spans both the medical and business sectors. A graduate of the University of Nigeria, Dr. Maureen Muoneke holds an MBA in finance from the American University Kogod College of Business and an MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Initially, Dr. Muoneke focused her career on the business and finance sector. She was a former financial analyst at Nigerian Agricultural & Co-operative Bank and spent two years as a financial analyst for Infosoft. Inc., in Maryland. Through these roles, she gained practical experience in performing cost/benefit analyses, developing financial reports, and overseeing financial management tasks. This experience came in handy during her late positions of senior financial analyst at Pepsi Cola.
Over 20 years ago, Dr. Maureen Muoneke switched her focus from business to medicine. This transition was marked by her role at Health Care Reimbursement & Office Services, which required that she provide management consulting to nearly a dozen medical practices. After completing her medical degree and residency in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Muoneke began practicing as an ob/gyn physician at Seton Medical Group and later Southern Maryland Hospital Center before founding Women’s Care, LLC.
Today, Dr. Muoneke practices as Pashka Women’s Care, LLC, in Georgia and serves as a medical consultant for the Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Aging Services (DAS). In the latter role, she assists the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency with determining whether an individual is eligible for disability or not.
