Licensed to practice medicine in California, Norman Brooks, MD, serves as director of Encino's Skin Cancer Medical Center, where he employs innovative methods to treat patients so that they are not left with disfiguring scars. In addition to his MD, Dr. Norman Brooks completed postgraduate training in Mohs micrographic surgery as well as residencies in internal medicine and dermatology at the University of Colorado and the University of California, Los Angeles, respectively. Dr. Brooks was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UCLA for 25 years. During that time he received The Outstanding Teaching Award.
Dr. Brooks holds membership with professional organizations such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatopathology, the American College of Mohs Surgery and the San Fernando Valley Dermatological Society.
He is also a founding member of the Amonette Circle of the Skin Cancer Foundation whose mission is to educate the public about prevention and early detection of skin cancer.
