Dr. Peter Brett is a healthcare professional who holds over 25 years of experience in the industry. Most recently, Dr. Peter Brett joined the Commonwealth Health Care Corp (CHCC) as their first oncologist.

Dr. Brett joins internists Dr. John Tudela and Dr. Joel Smith in CHCC’s oncology department and will be supported by its nursing staff delivering comprehensive care to cancer patients. In this new role, he will oversee treatment options that will for the first time be made available to patients, as well being involved with the assessment and follow-up care of many of the center’s patients. He will help develop various treatment options, although the CHCC notes that some specialized cancer treatment, such as pancreatic surgery, will still not be available on-island.

In the past, Dr. Peter Brett worked with Sutter Medical Group, where he served as the director of medical oncology 2011-2019. Throughout his time in the field, he has received various accolades, such as being named one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s top doctors several years in a row.
