Dr. Sammie I. Long is a longstanding physician whose past experience includes a position as University of South Alabama Medical Center special fellow and clinical assistant professor of radiology. At present, Dr. Sammie I. Long focuses much of her energy on a leadership role with her family, which includes aging military veterans.
Dr. Long has a strong interest in medical pathways for addressing the dietary and other challenges that seniors face. She has attended a number of conferences in her area of medicine, including those sponsored by the University of Tennessee College of Medicine’s Tennessee Radiological Society.
Dr. Long holds longstanding membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society and is active with the American Medical Writers Association. She has received a number of recognitions in her field, including the Physician's Recognition Award from the American Medical Association. Community focused, Dr. Sammie I. Long has contributed to organizations such as the Christian Appalachian Project.
