After graduating magna cum laude from Carnegie Mellon University with his bachelor of science in information and decision support systems, Dr. Scott Altschuler completed pre-med training at the University of Miami. He subsequently earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, remaining with the university to complete both an internship and a residency in internal medicine at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Scott Altschuler subsequently relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia, where he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology with the University of Virginia (UVA) and the Virginia Health System. He concurrently attended UVA to secure his master’s in health evaluation science.
Dr. Scott Altschuler provided gastrointestinal care to patients for nearly a decade as a clinical team member before establishing his own private practice in 2017. Operating under the name Treasure Coast GI, this Port St. Lucie, Florida-based practice offers a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services. Dr. Altschuler is an active member of several medical associations, including the Florida Gastroenterologic Society and the American College of Gastroenterology.
