Rhode Island’s Dr. Stephen Petteruti has been working in medicine for more than two decades. A graduate of Tufts University, he holds a DO from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Stephen Petteruti completed his postdoctoral training in family medicine at Martin Army Hospital before he accepted a full-time staff position at Dewitt Army Hospital.
In addition, Dr. Petteruti is a diplomate of the National Board of Osteopathic Examiners and is certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and the American Board of Bariatric Medicine. In recognition of his exceptional work as a physician, Dr. Petteruti has earned several awards and honors, including Bridges to Excellence Medical Home Recognition and NCQA Physician Practice Connections-Patient Centered Medical Home honor.
In 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, Dr. Petteruti received Compassionate Doctor Recognition, which is granted to physicians who demonstrate top-tier kindness to their patients. Further, he won the Patients’ Choice Award every year from 2010 to 2018.
Dr. Petteruti’s skill in the medical field has earned him many speaking engagements around the country. In one of his most recent presentations, he discussed liquid biopsies and adipose reduction as related to the prevention of cancer.
