Award-winning dermatologist Dr. Thi Thien Nguyen Tran, the owner and medical director of Village Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, LLC, received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from Case Western Reserve University and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He subsequently completed an osteopathic internship in dermatology and dermatologic surgery residency at Nova Southeastern University, where he served as Chief Administrative Resident. Dr. Tran has dual board certification in Dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Mohs Surgery, and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.
In his current position, Dr. Thi Thien Nguyen Tran provides comprehensive dermatology and dermatologic surgery services to patients living in and around The Villages®, FL. Nationally recognized for his compassionate care, Dr. Tran works to prevent, detect, and treat skin cancer at his practice. He is an advocate for the early detection and timely treatment of skin cancer, including melanoma. He is an avid supporter of skin cancer awareness efforts.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Tran has been involved in several research projects and has given numerous lectures both at the national and international levels covering topics such as Mohs micrographic and facial reconstruction surgery, nerve injury during Mohs surgery, psoriasis, and cutaneous tumors. His research work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and covered by the Dermatology Times.
