A doctor of musical arts with an emphasis in choral conducting, Dr. Tod Fish serves as associate director of choral activities with Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. This position involves directing the university’s men's and women’s choirs and opera chorus. Under Dr. Tod Fish’s leadership, the women’s choir has tripled in size and the men’s choir doubled over the course of a single year. He also teaches multiple choral courses at the university and serves as the student teaching supervisor for all choral music education majors.

Before assuming his current position in 2013, Dr. Tod Fish directed choirs and provided choral instruction for students at Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas, and Round Rock High School in Round Rock. He has also informed his fellow choral educators by delivering presentations such as “No Time to Think: Strategies for Efficient Rehearsals” and “Shooting for the Stars: Finding Head Voice with Elementary School Singers.” Dr. Fish coauthored the 2014 Southwestern Musician article “Making the Right Decision” with Scott LaGraff.
