An annual recipient of the Five Star Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences from 2015 to 2019, Dr. Todd Shatkin has also earned honors such as Innovator of the Year for his work in the field of mini dental implants. He holds a patent for development of a treatment modality known as the Shatkin FIRST Technique. With decades of experience in his field, Dr. Todd Shatkin continues to incorporate the technique through his private practice in Amherst, New York, where he also served on the planning board and the town council.

Throughout his career, Sr. Todd Shatkin has become a noted presenter. Some of his more recent speaking engagements include an Advanced Mini Dental Implant Residency Course in Buffalo, New York; a Toronto Implant Academy lecture in Canada, and an Academy of General Dentistry of Tennessee lecture in Pigeon Forge. He has also addressed topics such as the treatment of sleep apnea.

Dr. Shatkin earned his dental degree at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
