The son of Andy Schroeder, who works for South Central Steel (SCS), Drew Schroeder is a Birmingham, Alabama-based high school student. Currently in his senior year at Briarwood, Drew Schroeder hopes to study business at Auburn University next year.

While pursuing his studies, Drew Schroeder has also gained experience as a sales associate with Cutco Knives. He has worked for the company since 2016, and has been responsible for creating sales presentations to attract new customers.

Beyond studying and working, Drew Schroeder is a competitive golfer who has participated and placed in several junior tour events throughout Alabama, including the BGA, AJGO, and SJIT. Moreover, he recently qualified and participated in the Alabama State Amateur Open and the State Jr. Am. Should he reach his goal of earning acceptance to Auburn, he could potentially play on the school's varsity golf team, which recently won the 2018 East Lake Cup over its in-state Southeastern Conference rival Alabama and includes the 2018 British Amateur champion Jovan Rebula.
