While completing undergraduate studies in zoology at the University of Maryland, Dr. Henry Tarlian maintained a regular presence on the dean’s list. He subsequently matriculated at St. Georges University to study medicine and ultimately earned clinical honors during multiple years. After receiving his doctor of medicine in 1988, he completed a residency in general surgery at the St. Frances Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey, and a vascular/endovascular fellowship at the Arizona Health Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Henry Tarlian’s professional history as a vascular surgeon includes tenures with the Arizona Kidney Disease & Hypertension Center in Phoenix and Cardiovascular Associates of Mesa in Mesa, Arizona.
Dr. Tarlian has co-owned and operated Mesa’s Western Vascular Institute (WVI) since 2005. A dedicated clinical educator as well as a practitioner, he directs the Educational Program for WVI’s Vein Center and conducts continuing medical education courses as a clinical instructor with the Arizona Heart Institute.
