An important maxim to save on food is to be aware of what you have frozen, the refrigerator and in the pantry. You must spend what you have before acquiring more. That many times food expires and you have to throw it away because it gets bad.
Similarly, be careful with the servings you serve or freeze. Better to take out a little and then repeat than to fill the plate to the top and have to throw away the rest. That's throwing money, and effort, into the garbage.
