A global account technology strategist with Microsoft in New York City, Effie Kilmer builds upon five years in the fields of business systems and information technology. Before joining Microsoft in 2018, she completed a range of high-tech projects in service of client investment management and post-trade solution processing as an analyst and consultant with Sapient Consulting. Effie Kilmer also completed four months of intensive computer programming/financial markets training through the Sapient Global Markets Institute.

She entered the business world as an intern with multiple international firms while pursuing her bachelor of science in computer information systems/finance and global studies at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts. These internships included a summer handling micro-finance and global/social responsibility matters for Grant Thornton in Ada Foah, Ghana.

Outside of the professional arena, Ms. Kilmer enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking. She also has a long history of educational volunteerism, both as a math instructor with the tutoring nonprofit Hour Children and the co-head of a Sapient Consulting/SapientRazorfish mentoring program.
