Dr. Elizabeth Cendan is an established New York physical therapist who specializes in areas such as breast cancer therapy and pelvic floor rehabilitation. Also experienced in general women’s health rehabilitation, Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Cendan has engaged with the New York University Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine to provide educational seminars in areas such as bowel and bladder incontinence following spinal surgery.
Tasked with acute care cases as a Rusk Institute physical therapist, Dr. Liz Cendan created a patient-centered treatment protocol and worked to set in place an acute care cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program. Respected in her field, Dr. Cendan was a visiting lecturer at the Georgia Campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. The topics on which she has lectured include spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and neuromuscular conditions.
Dr. Cendan maintains a community focus and contributes to charities such as the Garden City Community Church. Dr. Liz Cendan was also a volunteer at Ground Zero on 9/11.
