The recipient of a bachelor's degree in psychology from Miriam College in the Philippines, Elsa G. Afroilan started her career as a mortgage advisor and assistant branch manager at Capital One Bank. Following four years in this position, she joined TD Bank in Washington, DC, as a business development officer. In this role, Elsa Afroilan oversaw a 300 percent improvement on a Store Corporate Audit Rating and achieved a 98 percent TD Pulse Rating for branch employee experience.
Elsa Afroilan served as an assistant vice president at Bank of America from 2012 to 2015, during which time she managed a business client portfolio with annual revenues of around $3 million. She also exceeded annual goals in business credit, merchant services, and small business acquisition, and earned the Silver Award for Leadership. She has since worked in executive capacities at Capital One Bank and Arlington Community Federal Credit Union.
Complementing more than a dozen years of commercial banking experience, Ms. Afroilan is OMEGA certified and obtained certification in business lending from the Credit Union Executive Society. She is also a member of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.
