Experienced educator Emily Kiburz-Grimes has spent nearly 15 years instructing students of all ages. She started her career with the Lincoln Public Schools in Nebraska, where she taught English language learners in levels 1 through 5 and grades 9 through 12. Her students came from 15 different countries and a variety of backgrounds, and Emily Kiburz-Grimes created dynamic lesson plans in order to best instruct them. For 3 years, she served as the department’s team leader, which involved training staff on how to best implement literacy strategies. During her time with the school district, she belonged to the Secondary ELL Social Studies Curriculum Development Committee, as well as the School Improvement Committee.
Emily Kiburz-Grimes now serves as a learning and development specialist for Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s CLUB, where she handles staff training. She develops new training curricula and videos for more than 20,000 employees across the country.
Ms. Kiburz-Grimes attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she earned a BS in secondary education social sciences and an M.Ed.
