Eric McCurdy is a well-established school administrator who serves the Seattle Public Schools as executive director and oversees a full range of interscholastic athletic initiatives. Eric McCurdy ensures that guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures are in place that work to optimize resource usage and staff development.
Implementing community partnerships has been a central focus of Mr. McCurdy, and he has worked together with the Special Olympics of Washington and the Seattle Sounders in launching the Seattle Unified Soccer League. This unique program brings together in competition high school students in the local area, including those with intellectual disabilities.
Mr. McCurdy’s achievements include leading a solicitation process that resulted in the state of Washington’s largest ever interscholastic athletics apparel deal. The agreement has brought in $850,000 to the district over a three-year period. Eric McCurdy earned his BA in psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and subsequently obtained a master's in coaching and athletic administration at Concordia University in Southern California.
