A managing partner with Freedom Capital Partners LLC, Ernest Jacquet serves as the chairman of American Clean Energy Partners and International Package Shipping. He is also the chairman of the nonprofit organization America United: In Support of Our Troops, which he founded. Ernest Jacquet was awarded a Patent for the Mobile Diving Unit which featured in National Geographic magazine. In the 1970's,he qualified as a licensed professional engineer.

Previously, Mr. Jacquet served as a managing partner of Mentor Capital Partners and Parthenon Capital, which he co-founded in 1998. Parthenon Capital currently manages over $4 billion. His prior positions include general partner with Summit Partners, principal with Bain Capital, a member of the International M&A Group for Morgan Stanley & Co., and a director of Trafalgar House Investments PLC. Before turning to the field of finance, he began his career as a U.S. Navy diving officer and served his country for four years.

Mr. Jacquet holds an MBA from Stanford University in finance and an MSE (Honors)in computer science and a BSE in marine architecture from the University of Michigan. In his leisure time he enjoys sailing. Mr Jacquet sailed his 41 foot ketch across the Pacific in 1975 using celestial navigation. In 2001, he refurbished America's Cup winner FREEDOM (US-30)and skippered her to win the America's Cup 150th Jubilee in Cowes, UK. In 2007,he skippered FREEDOM (US-30) to win the European Challenge.
