As a student, Ethan Bondick balances his academic responsibilities with service to his community. He has volunteered as a farm hand with Gaining Ground, an organization that grows fresh food for a local meal service organization. Ethan Bondick has also donated his time to that same meal service group since he was 12 years old, when he helped to stock and organize pantry shelves.
Ethan Bondick has also traveled extensively with his family, who work to provide him with cultural learning and global service experiences. On trips to Africa, the family has visited with the organizers of a variety of community projects and orphanages that are seeking to improve the lives of those they aid.
Mr. Bondick enjoys volunteering with the Up and Out projects of Heading Home. At these events, young participants clean and decorate the new home of a family who had been living in shelter housing. The volunteers stock the family's pantry with food and welcome them with a sparkling cider toast.
When not volunteering or studying, Mr. Bondick enjoys training in his favorite sports, skiing and tennis.
