Evan A. Weitz is an experienced chemist who, since 2015, has worked as a senior lab technician with Absolute Sound Laboratories, which repairs and restores classic hi-fidelity audio equipment. Moreover, Evan A. Weitz leverages his extensive chemistry education and research-related work to serve as a science and math ACT tutor with Achieve Academics. Since taking on the role in 2017, he has tutored two students who registered a perfect score of 36 on the ACT exam.

Prior to his current positions, Evan A. Weitz spent seven years in a research capacity at the University of Minnesota, where, among other projects, he examined the biology and health effects of DNA-protein cross linking as a result of cigarette smoke and other carcinogens. His work primarily involved laboratory functions relating to the organic synthesis of transition-metal complexes and organic molecules such as flash column chromatography purification and crystallization on micro- and macro-scale projects. He holds a PhD, master’s degree, and bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
