A Victoria, TX-based educator, Farhang Niroomand, PhD, holds decades of experience in universities across the country. Since 2017, Dr. Farhang Niroomand has served as a professor of economics and international business at the University of Houston-Victoria.
In his position, Dr. Niroomand draws on his areas of expertise to research and present classes on numerous topics. Before this, he served as the dean of the school of business administration, a role he held for eight years. During this time, he led 44 faculty and 15 staff members while recruiting and training new staff. Farhang Niroomand also oversaw fundraising and managing the school's budget.
Prior to his work at the University of Houston, he was a faculty member at The University of Southern Mississippi, where he served as associate dean between 1999 and 2007. In this position, he was responsible for interacting with staff, department chairs, and others while managing a large budget. During his time at The University of Southern Mississippi, Dr. Niroomand received numerous accolades, including Excellence in Teaching and Research Awards.
