A graduate of New York University, Farnoush Amiri holds a master’s degree in journalism, which she earned in 2018. In addition, Farnoush Amiri holds a bachelor of arts in the field, having graduated with honors from San Francisco State University (SFSU) in 2015.
While attending SFSU, Ms. Amiri was on the honor roll every semester while also contributing to the student-run publications Golden Gate Xpress and Xpress Magazine. After earning her master’s degree, she produced an investigative report for the Center for Investigative Journalism in Puerto Rico, following which she was a digital reporter with NBC News.
In the latter role, Farnoush Amiri worked on the enterprise and breaking news desks to keep up to date with news releases while also creating daily articles. In addition, she provided high-quality research intended to accompany investigative reports while also covering US gun policies, charity finances, and other areas.
Since 2019, she has worked as a journalist for The Associated Press, where she is responsible for monitoring break news stories while also writing articles covering a range of areas.
