With more than 20 years of service to the Catholic Church, Father John Jimenez currently serves as a chaplain and teacher at Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco. Father John Jimenez has also been with the Archdiocese of San Francisco since 1998 serving in a variety of capacities, including priest and teacher. During that time, he has worked at St. Charles Church and School, St. Peter Church, East Oakland School of the Arts, and Our Lady of the Visitacion Church and School, among other institutions.

Additionally, Father Jimenez has served for more than a decade as an on-call visiting chaplain at San Francisco General Hospital. He also spent nearly a year earlier in his career as a missionary worker in Nairobi, Kenya. He began his career in 1985 as a houseparent at St. Nicholas Youth Home, and holds a master of divinity degree from St. Patrick Seminary, as well as a bachelor's degree in social work from San Francisco State University.
