An architect who has worked on large projects around the world, Fernando Arteaga has served the Miami offices of HKS for the past year. As principal and director of design for this firm, he has designed a number of 5-star luxury resorts, both in the US and abroad. Fernando Arteaga formerly served a year as associate vice president of CallisonRTKL, leading this architecture firm’s studio and hospitality practice. His design accomplishments with CallisonRTKL include developing a variety of hospitality mixed-use projects in Miami as well as several signature structures in Mexico.

Over the years he has garnered a number of industry honors, including multiple design awards from the Porcelanosa Group. He has shared his expertise as a public speaker, delivering presentations at a range of industry conventions and expos. In 2019, Decor Magazine ranked him among the best designers in Florida. Outside the professional environment, Mr. Arteaga is a competitive polo player who has won several events in Asia.
