A longtime resident of the New York metropolitan area who currently lives in Paramus, New Jersey, Fernando Mesa has a career in software development, data engineering, and enterprise architecture that spans two decades. He got his start as a senior administrator in the mid-2000s, serving two years a vice president of enterprise architecture with UnitedHealth Group. As a leader in the UnitedHealth subsidiary i3 Global/Ingenix, Fernando Mesa managed a technology portfolio that encompassed five large business units and included over 100 digital systems.
Fernando Mesa went on to serve five years as chief technology officer (CTO) of the MarkLogic Corporation’s enterprise sector. Working across IT divisions that ranged from big data analytics to cloud storage architecture, he dramatically expanded MarkLogic’s enterprise operations and revenues.
More recently, Mr. Mesa served two years as chief architect/head of data science of Optymyze and five years as CTO of Mobile Strategies, a firm which he founded. He led all facets of technology architecture at Optymyze, and offered a wide range of technology solutions and advisory services at Mobile Strategies.
