Established in 2011, Frontier Alliance International works tirelessly to advance the mission of Jesus Christ to interior regions where it has not yet arrived. In addition to humanitarian relief and training in Middle Eastern language and leadership competencies, Frontier Alliance International operates a publishing and film branch that produces educational content for audiences around the world.
FAI Studios has created eight feature-length films, one of the most recent, The Frontier. Released in 2018, the film examines the lives of FAI pioneers working in some of the world’s most difficult regions, including the battlefields of Syria and central Asia’s conflicted tribal territories. The 2015 film Sheep Among Wolves Volume I highlights leaders in the underground church community in the Middle East, while the 2019 Sheep Among Wolves Volume II follows Muslim-background Iranians as they lead a discipleship movement out of Islam.
The studio’s first field documentary, Better Friends Than Mountains, explores the work of FAI Relief efforts towards the refugees who fled Mosul to get away from ISIS. All FAI content is available for free via the FAI app at faimission.org/app.
