Gary Reis

Entrepreneur in Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Pawtucket Country Club

Graduating as an emergency medical technician (EMT) from the Community College of Rhode Island in 1978, Gary Reis went on to work in this capacity for a local ambulance service and the Pawtucket Fire Department. Gary Reis later drew on this experience to found Med Tech Ambulance Service, now the largest private ambulance company in Rhode Island.

Since establishing this company in 1996, Gary Reis has grown Med Tech to employ more than 400 staff members and operate over 130 trucks. As its president, he oversees a business that serves 14 hospitals and 90 nursing homes across the state.

Aside from his duties with Med Tech, Mr. Reis fills leadership roles in other companies. In 2000, he founded Ambulance Rescue Billing, Inc. (now A-Stat Medical Billing Management, Inc.), a firm that offers medical billing services and that he continues to lead as president. Moreover, he has maintained responsibilities as president of Triton Fleet Services since 2006 and as owner and managing partner of Pawtucket Country Club since 2015.

Active in his field and his community, Gary Reis has sat on the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Better Long Term Care and served as a founding member of the Rhode Island Ambulance Association. He has also supported such charitably minded organizations as the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Pawtucket Soup Kitchen, and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
