As a student at Salisbury School in Litchfield County, Connecticut, Gavin “Trey” Scotti III was fortunate enough to receive a thoroughgoing college prep-centered education in the best traditions of learning. Alongside its academic program, the private boys’ academy also works to promote the development of character and a sense of public service among its students. For Gavin Scotti III and his classmates, the century-old school’s dedication has better prepared them to meet the challenges of the complex world they'll soon be a part of.
Gavin Scotti’s participation on the Knights lacrosse and football teams was one aspect of this experience. The school’s comprehensive program of athletics - which in addition to lacrosse and football includes cross-country and baseball - demonstrates its commitment to preparing each student to work well both as part of a team and individually.
In addition, Salisbury School’s foundations in the Episcopal Church stress the value of showing honor and loyalty, of meeting obligations and reaching out a hand to help others in need. The school has encouraged Trey Scotti and all his classmates to embrace challenges, and at the same time to help one another - not only to achieve outward success, but to become thoughtful, mature, and caring men.
