A retired real estate executive with more than three decades of experience, Gene Berman most recently served as group manager and executive view president with Marcus & Millichap in Ft. Lauderdale. In this role, he oversaw 30 brokerage offices and more than 600 investment real estate sales agents, in addition to overseeing manager development programs as director of training development. Earlier, Gene Berman was instrumental in Marcus & Milllichap’s expansion along the East Coast, opening of the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office in 1997.

Mr. Berman holds a bachelor of arts degree in speech communication from the University of Southern California and a law degree from Southwestern University School of Law. He began his career as an investment sales broker with Marcus & Millichap in Encino, California, advising sellers and buyers on investment real estate and receiving 12 annual sales accomplishment awards.

In addition to his career with Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Berman served as an advisor to the master’s program in real estate at Nova Southeastern University. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, swimming, and practicing Pilates.
