Geoffrey Webber

Archaeologist, travelling all over the world uncovering history.

Born in Canterbury in 1968, Geoffrey Webber works as an experienced archaeologist. A graduate of the prestigious University of Cambridge in England, Webber achieved his degree in Archaeology.

Archaeology is often described as the study of human culture and history. Archaeologists work to recover and/or discover materials and objects from civilisations throughout the ages, which will then be studied and analysed for clues as to how those people lived.

Webber’s interest and passion for this subject has grown and developed over the years since he first began working in this field, and he is known as an experienced and knowledgeable member of the profession. Archaeology often includes insights from other scientific fields, including biology, anthropology, geology and environmental systems, and archaeologists gather information from across these fields to offer a full and complete analysis of their discoveries.

Archaeology is at the core of Webber’s personal and professional life, and as such, his pastimes and hobbies tend to expand on this subject. Webber enjoys visiting heritage sites and places of historical significance around the world, as well as anything that relates to history, culture and architecture. Travel is an important part of Webber’s job as an archaeologist, and he frequently explores different countries and cultures in both a personal and professional capacity.

Being active is also important to Webber, so he likes to go on regular treks, walks and rambles. He also enjoys listening to classical and jazz music, and is a fan of literature - particularly the works of Bernard Cornwell.
