Financial advisor George Abie Williams of Radford, VA, has served as the branch manager and senior vice president of investments at Stifel Nicolaus for more than seven years. He engages with clients on a variety of investment topics, such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds, as well as the formulation of comprehensive, financial strategies. Prior to joining Stifel Nicolaus, he spent nearly three decades with organizations such as Legg Mason Wood Walker and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
Mr. Williams received a bachelor’s in accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg. Over the course of his career he has contributed to his community in a number of ways. As a real estate owner and developer, he helped establish Inglewood, one of Radford’s finest residential subdivisions. He also spends time as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Calvary Baptist Church. Further, as a charter member and chairman of the Radford High School Foundation since 1986, he has spearheaded fundraising efforts for the school’s $1.2 million James P. King Center and new municipal baseball facilities for the high school team and youth players.
