An accomplished New York-based financial services professional, University of North Carolina graduate George Mabry has provided more than $2 billion in financing to energy and industrial industries. Former North Carolina resident George Mabry served as an associate with New 2ND Capital, a private equity firm that utilizes asset solutions including fund restructurings, secondary directs, and stapled transactions. Previously, he was a summer associate with Stronghold Partners, an upstream oil and gas private equity firm in Dallas.
Mr. Mabry holds a bachelor of arts in business administration and history from Furman University, where he was president of the Investment Club and served as an admissions ambassador. He earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina (UNC) Kenan-Flagler and completed a two-year analyst training program at Barings, after which he spent four years as a high yield associate director with the firm. In his free time, he enjoys reading historical non-fiction, traveling, and cooking.
