An information technology (IT) director with more than 25 years of experience, George Papamitrou has helped several high-growth companies accomplish their business goals through the implementation of business process improvements, technology, and security enhancements. Since 2018, he has led the business services team for MACOM, providing operational and strategic leadership for the company’s Applications and Business Services department. George Papamitrou joined MACOM in 2016 as part of the sales enablement team.

Mr. Papamitrou holds a bachelor of science in computer science from Worcester State University, as well as certification with the Sloan Business School Executive Education Program at MIT. To stay informed of current topics in the IT field, he has attended the Salesforce World Tour in Boston and the SAP Analytics Cloud conference. Earlier in his career, he served as a director of information services and technology for Aspect Medical Systems Inc. and as a microsystems technical supervisor for Rockport Company.

In his free time, Mr. Papamitrou participates in his son’s successful music production business by providing sales, marketing, and technical support.
