Active as a volunteer in Pennsylvania and the Philippines, Gloria Byars cofounded Our Bacud Charities Philippines in 2015. Her efforts with the food program have enabled it to grow from 10 to more than 100 children receiving essential nutrition on a weekly basis. Gloria Byars has been successful in generating sustained support for the nonprofit and brought in more than 25 new donors in recent months.

Ms. Byars also volunteers with the Church of the Overcomer in Trainer, Pennsylvania, and she is a facilitator with the "Prison to Praise" ministry, which provides men and women with housing, employment, and education-focused support after they are released from incarceration.

Active with Global Guardian Services, Ms. Byars is additionally engaged as a full-time court-appointed guardian. She is assigned a fiduciary duty to wards and is formally tasked with looking after their best interests in areas such as daily living, accommodations, and finances. Reporting regularly to the court, she ensures that incapacitated elders are protected from situations of abuse and their expenditures are properly managed. Her public efforts have included taking on appointed guardian responsibilities for more than 120 individuals within a single year.
