A well-established White Plains, New York, attorney concentrating on matrimonial and family law, Gordon Burrows has three decades experience in complex litigation matters involving parental and custody rights. Gordon Burrows has had successful court decisions related to social media disclosure and the valuation of businesses and pensions featured in the New York Law Journal.
In a landmark case, Gordon Burrows argued for the relevance of Facebook materials in settling a contentious custody battle. Specifically, by showing that the defendant was traveling out of state, during which time she left her child in the care of Mr. Burrows’ client, these materials demonstrated a pattern of behavior that was inconsistent with the defendant’s claims and favored his client.
Mr. Burrows also has experience in elected positions of public responsibility and spent 10 years on the Yonkers City Council. During this time, he was active on the Budget Committee and served as the chairman of the Education and Municipal Operations Committees. Elected by a solid majority in the elections in which he ran, his loyalty and dependability as a public servant have helped him achieve consistent results over the years. Mr. Burrows was thereafter elected to the 15th District’s County Legislator in February 2005 and he continues to hold that position.
