The recipient of a bachelor's degree in American studies from Hollins University, Hampton Luzak has built a varied career through her creative pursuits over the past 30 years. A member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants and the Society of Colonial Dames, Hampton Luzak was most recently involved in restoring historical homes throughout South Carolina and the northeastern United States.
Prior to her foray into historical homes, Hampton Luzak worked in the entertainment industry as a casting director for various films. Among other projects, she worked on the film Chaperone, which earned an American Film Institute award for Best Short Film. She also worked on films that received recognition at the Big Muddy Film Festival, the Portland Film Festival of World Cinema, and Method Fest. She broke into the film industry through contacts she developed as a fashion contributor for MSNBC.
Mrs. Luzak began her career as a creative director's assistant for the advertising firm BBDO. In this role, she was part of a team that developed advertisements for Pepsi and Visa. Outside of her professional pursuits, she is an active supporter of the Joyful Heart Foundation and enjoys skiing in the winter and biking in the summer.
