A Christian church that serves residents of greater Hobart, Indiana, Hobart Assembly is part of a global fellowship of Assemblies of God churches that administer to more than 60 million adherents. Since its establishment in 1938 under the guidance of reverend James Menzie, Hobart Assembly has undergone many changes both in location and leadership. The church has operated out of a beautiful building on Hobart’s Ridge since 1976, and has benefited from the direction and governance of pastor Ryan McDowell and his wife Rebecca since 2006.
To accommodate a rapidly growing congregation and Sunday services that currently attract over 350 attendees each week, the church is in the process of a substantial building expansion and remodeling project. This multiphase endeavor includes the construction of a new 500-seat worship center and a state of the art youth center. Taking advantage of its purchase of multiple adjacent properties, the church is also building a 3,400-square-foot office wing.
