A construction industry professional based in Minnesota, Hugh Gaughan worked for three years as a laborer before taking a position as an assistant construction project manager with Gaughan Construction in Forest Lake. In his role with the company, Hugh Gaughan leverages his construction experience to manage complex projects throughout Minnesota's Twin Cities area. His duties include estimating project costs, acquiring state permits, and communicating with subcontractors and other project managers.
Mr. Gaughan attended Chesterton Academy in Edina, Minnesota, before going on to study construction management at the Dunwoody College of Technology. He pursued further education through the Construction Project Management Institute at Purdue University.
Outside of his work in the construction industry, Mr. Gaughan volunteers in the Catholic community as a member of the Church of All Saints in Minneapolis. Through the church, he has served as a thurifer and engaged in special masses outside of the parish. He also helped refurbish a dormant church schoolhouse that had fallen into disrepair. For recreation, he heads to the mountains to ski and snowboard. In addition to local resorts, his favorite winter destinations include Aspen and Snowmass in Colorado.
