A Pittsburgh-based executive, Ian Oldaker has extensive organizational leadership experience and led SPYSCAPE in Midtown Manhattan as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer from 2017 to 2020. He oversaw departments that launched and grew an entertainment and educational experience that immerses visitors in espionage history and provides an understanding of spy skills. Responsible for media presentations, daily operations and the quality of the visitor experience, Ian Oldaker coordinated functions such as sales, private events, facilities, security, finance/admin, and visitor services. his efforts led SPYSCAPE to a 4.5 approval rating from visitor reviews on Google and TripAdvisor.

From 2006 to 2016, Mr. Oldaker held operational management positions with the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York. Part of a team that built and oversaw the launch of the memorial and the museum a decade after the 9/11 attacks, he served as Director of Operations and ensured that staff delivered a compelling and consistent visitor experience​ for millions of guests.

Accepting a role with the museum as Vice President of Operations and Planning in 2014, Mr. Oldaker guided strategic project planning​ and oversaw staff performance within the Operations Department. Among the stakeholders he coordinated with, were the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and the New York City’s Mayor’s Office. Ian Oldaker holds a BA in history from Loyola University in Maryland and completed his MS in Global Affairs at New York University.
