Beirut-based entrepreneur Imad Jomaa is the founder and president of JGROUP. Since establishing the holding group almost two decades ago, he has amassed a broad portfolio of companies that operate in a variety of sectors, including technology, media and advertising, food and beverage, real estate and contracting, and more. Under the leadership of Imad Jomaa, JGROUP has focused on driving innovation in each of these industries. The organization also works closely with each of its subsidiaries to ensure excellence in all customer-facing services.
Over the years, Jomaa has successfully expanded his organization outside of Lebanon. Today, JGROUP operates not only in the Middle East, but also in Europe, Africa, and North America. More than 35 companies are currently under the JGROUP umbrella, including Promomedia, Promofix, PromoPrints, Hawacom TV, Digital Venture, Wahoo, Assada, PromoFoods, PromoChem, PromoProperties, Ekaruna, Promedica, PromoEats, Cedarman Art, Sport Ville, and AL Media.
Promomedia is a major outdoor media supplier in the MENA region; the company has contracts with Baghdad International Airport and Beirut International Airport to handle all outdoor ads and billboards. Last year, Promofix inked an exclusive agreement with beIN Sports, the global sports media broadcaster, to serve as the executive advertising sales agent for all 24 MENA countries.
Imad Jomaa has also invested in real estate development in the United States. He financed the construction of two skyscrapers in New York City, in Tribeca and Midtown. Jomaa has also shared his business expertise by writing articles on industry trends and topics.
Throughout his tenure at JGROUP, Jomaa has been dedicated to supporting the communities that his portfolio companies serve. To this end, he launched the Imad Jomaa Foundation, a non-government organization that gives back through a variety of philanthropic projects.
Jomaa established JGROUP not long after graduating from the American University of Beirut (AUB). In 2001, he obtained bachelor’s degrees in economics and chemistry, representing his graduating class as valedictorian. He later received his master’s degree in financial economics at AUB.
