Practicing with the Saskatchewan Health Authority Department of Family Medicine since 2014, Dr. Imafidon Thomas Izekor provides direct care to patients in the provincial capital of Regina. He also assists other clinical staff as needed, including guiding the development of junior staff, residents, and medical students. Before joining the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Dr. Imafidon Thomas Izekor treated patients as a family and emergency physician at the Regina Mundi Catholic Hospital and as an attending physician at the New Ikeja Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria.

In addition to working directly with patients, Dr. Izekor has shared his clinical expertise with his contemporaries as the coauthor of "Determining Influence of Religion on Knowledge and Attitude about HIV and Sexual Behavior of Secondary School Adolescents Attending Public/Missionary Schools in Nigeria” in the Nigerian Quarterly Journal of Hospital Medicine. He also delivered a presentation on cervical cancer screening methods at the 6th Canadian Conference on International Health in Ottawa, Canada.
