While working toward his bachelor of science in biology at Florida International University in the early 1990s, Imran Husain became involved in Formula car racing. He went on to race professionally, becoming the first native of India to race at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Imran Husain’s success on the racetrack mirrors similar success in the business world. He served as chief executive officer of the software service provider Converge Global from 1999 to 2003 and chief executive officer of the business consultancy American Business Investments from 1999 to 2011.
Since 2011, Imran Husain has managed the family-owned investment firm IH Investments LLC. Although it primarily invests in multi-family residential and commercial real estate assets, IH Investments is also interested in establishing equity in private startup ventures. When he isn’t working, Mr. Husain remains interested in racing as both a Formula One spectator and an occasional shifter kart racer. He is also an avid cyclist and follower of politics.
